Heart surgery is becoming less invasive. Here is why that's important for the average patient

Heart procedures are becoming less invasive, and the devices used are getting smaller. In fact, some new techniques are making heart procedures possible for patients who wouldn’t have otherwise been candidates, according to STS member Dr. Scott Ross, a heart surgeon with Roper St. Francis in Charleston, South Carolina.
